I have often thought that the best and easiest way for someone to be inhumane to another is to pretend that the other person is not human, or less than human...you see it over and over again -- when people are enslaved or "eliminated," the rhetoric is always about monkeys or swine...

This example is just a small instance of something that can be very dangerous on a large scale.
