I had lunch today with an old co-worker, as a way to network. It was good to see her, and she had lots of ideas of possible job contacts for me.
I ran some errands afterwards, and then O and I played some Civ IV together -- me on the Mac, with him on the Windows laptop.
Yes in this one, I truly was "Spunkybart the Pathetic," as the game will sometimes call me. You can see the players in the lower right. O was "Lord Bismark," and we played with five other computer players. In my defense, we were playing at a higher level than I normally play -- he's been playing at Noble level, while I have always hung out at Chieftain. So, of course, I was last in the list.

Other than the strong wind, the weather was nice today! I got out and walked around the neighborhood...saw that some limbs had been blown down by the wind, and one of the globes on our street lights in the median had blown off.
I also spent some time playing Civ 4 -- boy oh boy is that game a time waster...you think to yourself, "oh, I'll just play another few minutes," and you look up and it's an hour later!
I'm still playing at a fairly easy level, but I'm starting to get the hang of the game too.
