Butterflies @ Lewis Ginter

  • May. 25th, 2009 at 4:23 PM
A friend and I went went to the botanical garden today to see their butterfly exhibit -- basically, they release butterflies into one of their galleries.

The weather here has been pretty humid...but it was NOTHING compared to the inside of the gallery -- they were pumping in water vapor...I guess for the butterflies.

Absolutely beautiful. You take such amazingly good photos. I could never achieve these images if I had the best camera in the world.

Well, thank you, although I never think of it as skillful -- I have a point and shoot camera -- which is what I basically do! The "macro" mode on the camera helps a lot for these close ups -- and the butterflies cooperated :)

Perhaps I try too hard? LOL, but no matter how I try to see the scene from a unique perspective and point the lens, I do not achieve anywhere near your results. You have a gift.

Ooh, I can't wait...
I am excited! My daughter and I went to the butterfly exhibit in Montreal. It was very, very cool. We will definitely have to go. Thank you for letting us know about it!

Enjoyed the Lewis Ginter butterfly exhibit and then found your photos mentioned on their website. You did a nice job with these shots!
