I've decided to start a list of things that I'd like to see or do at some point (I hate to add the phrase "before I die," lol). I plan to add to this list over time.

These are not in an particular order...

1. See an Aurora.
   This item is on the list because of talking to the mother of friend of a friend at my Tree Trimming this year. The mother lives in Sweden. Her English was good (but she spoke slowly in it), and she spoke of Northern Lights. It gave me the desire to see them.
   
   
2. Visit St. Petersburg, FL.
   No idea why I have this on the list. It has been a place I have wanted to visit for a long time.
   
   
3. Visit Rome.
   With my Latin language background, Rome has to be near the top of the list. I visited Florence last year, which I enjoyed very much. But I would also like to see Rome, pick-pockets and all.
   
   
4. Visit one of the large cities in South America -- Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, something like that.
   Not sure why. I don't know a lick of Portuguese or Spanish!
   
   
5. Visit Machu Picchu.
   A friend of mine visited a couple years back, which sparked my interest.
   
   
6. Visit More State Parks in Arizona and Utah.
   I visited Phoenix, Sedona and Grand Canyon (and points in between) last year. It gave me the taste to see more parks, like Arches, for example.
   
   
7. Visit San Francisco Again.
   I'd like to go again without the time constraint I was under earlier this year.
   
   
8. Go "off the grid" with my house.
   Install alternative sources of power and take my house off the electrical grid as much as possible.
   
   
9. Have an Extended Stay in a Buddhist Monastery.
   I'd like to spend time as a Buddhist "monk" some time -- doing the mediation, alms, etc. Just for a brief time.
   
   
10. Visit Greece.
    My Greek classes make me want to visit Athens and Sparta. But I'd also like to hit the small islands.
