When I was a Windows user, I used Picasa to organize my pictures. I see that Google has now released Picasa for the Mac (beta).

I found the program very useful when I used it, but now that I have Adobe Lightroom, I probably don't have as much use for the program.

Picasa made it easy to sort and organize your pictures, then upload them for sharing to the web. But I've now gotten used to either uploading to either Karmic-Dragonfly (manually), or Flikr (via Flikr's web interface) or Kodak Gallery (via a Firefox Add on).

So, I'm not sure if I will use Picasa anymore or not. Here's the link to download -- http://picasa.google.com/mac/

Picasa is efficient at finding all your pictures. It then lets you organize them into "Albums" for uploading.

My partner uses and LOVES Lightroom for her underwater photography! Glad to hear about another person using it.

Yep, I got Lightroom as a Christmas gift a couple of Christmases ago. I like it too.
